Ce qui le rend unique
Unlike the other programmes in the catalogue, this one is lived almost entirely in a private vehicle, from one town to the next, for travellers who prefer to unroll the country by road rather than string together domestic flights. Over 10 days it links the Kathmandu valley, the lake at Pokhara, the small hill-top colonial town of Palpa, the sacred site of Lumbini and the jungle of Chitwan, before closing the loop back to the capital.
It is a format particularly suited to people who like watching the landscape change gradually rather than in jumps between airports: the densely populated hills of the valley give way to the shores of Phewa lake, then to the cobbled lanes and Newar architecture of Tansen, before dropping down to the hot plains of the Terai. A road trip that is as much cultural as geographical, crossing several different Nepals in a single loop.
What makes it unique
The only programme in the catalogue lived almost entirely by road, with a stop that is rare in our itineraries: Palpa (Tansen), a Newar colonial town perched in the hills between Pokhara and the Terai plains.
